A Good Place

Hey, hope everyone is doing well. We're still making progress on Cyber Hunt, slowly but surely. The Web site is continuing to impress those who've visited it. Even though there are some revisions and additions that need to be made again, please feel free to spread the word about the site, and the project in general. Also: getting $5M or more for our budget doesn't seem like an impossibility at all. Other than that, there will be lots of production meetings over the summer, involving Babylon 5's Jason Carter, the Rising Dragon fight team, and the Critical Moves production studio, to name a few. So, we're in a good place.

The Trailer

Spent several hours at the Detroit UPN station Saturday night looking over all the footage for the trailer. A friend of Kelly's who works there will be tweaking the footage and helping to finish the much needed special effects. While the teaser footage we shot is fine, the fx footage that was shot later will have to be scrapped and that footage (involving a virtual game the character Kat is playing) will have to be reshot - to my dismay, the existing game footage just can't be worked on in its existing form. There's also supposed to be a shot that travels CSI-style into Kat's head where you see her brain being affected and that will ultimately have to be accomplished using Final Cut Pro, aftereffects, and some model work.

The Project

It's been a busy last few weeks as the teaser trailer is being worked on (special effects are being finished for that and then music needs to be added). I'm assembling more and more people for the CH team, including a Production Assistant who will be my representative in the Detroit area. Films are such a collaborative thing - a producer is very much a team builder and it takes a good, solid, responsible team to make a successful movie. So far, I'm extremely happy with the people I've found. There's a lot of work ahead. Still seeking investors...

Updating the look of the Blog

We recently got the blog site up and functioning. Now we are working on updating the look of our blog template to match the rest of the Cyber Hunt site.
